Wine weekend in the mountains!

A 100% Hautes-Alpes wine weekend

Margot Ducancel, founder of the "Rouge aux lèvres" club

Margot Ducancel, founder of the Rouge aux Lèvres wine club in Paris and of a media agency specializing in wine, didn't hesitate for a second when we asked her to come and discover the Mollard grape variety in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes mountains. With her boundless energy and sparkling temperament, Margot has 15 years' experience in the world of wine.

With a community of 54,000 followers on her wine-dedicated Instagram account, she shares her adventures and wine tips throughout the year. In a single weekend, she made a round trip from Paris by overnight train to explore a sample of the Haut-Alpin vineyards, nestled in the Durance valley.

We invite you to discover her escapade in the Serre-Ponçon valleys, an ideal source of inspiration for your next wine tourism experience.

Wine from Hautes Alpes

Mollard grape variety

Born between 600 and 900 m altitude, it grows where other grape varieties don't even dare to climb. Mollard, the region's emblematic red grape variety, is the mountain rebel: a hardy, patient grape that ripens quietly under the Alpine sun to produce fresh, fruity, light wines, perfect for rekindling your spirits after a hike or a dip in Lake Serre-Ponçon.
