Getting to Serre Ponçon Vallées by car:
Traveling to Serre-Ponçon Vallées by car is the easiest way to reach the area and freely explore Lake Serre-Ponçon, its villages, and its natural sites. Located in the Hautes-Alpes, the area is easily accessible from the major cities of southeastern France.
From Gap, it takes about 30 minutes via the D900B toward Espinasses and Rousset-Serre-Ponçon. If you’re coming from Tallard, you can also reach the area via the D900B.
From Marseille, the fastest route takesthe A51 highway to La Saulce, then the D900B toward Lake Serre-Ponçon.
From Grenoble, take the Col Bayard pass before heading to Gap and then Serre-Ponçon Vallées.
From Barcelonnette, reach the area via the D900B along Lake Serre-Ponçon, a route offering magnificent panoramic views of the lake’s turquoise waters.
From Chorges, take the D3 via the Lebraut Pass, a scenic route offering superb views of the lake before reaching Rousset-Serre-Ponçon.

Cyclists coming from the Alps can also take the roads through Chorges, Savines-le-Lac, or the Col Lebraut, which offer magnificent views of the lake before reaching the Tourist Office. The Route des Grandes Alpes® (Route des Grandes Alpes® by Bike | Official Website) also makes it easy to include Serre-Ponçon Vallées in a cycling tour.
