Head for the 3 Lacs leisure park, a little paradise nestled on the banks of the Durance in the commune of Rochebrune. Here you'll find landscaped swimming areas, a nautical base, picnic tables and even shady nooks for siestas. A great way to start your vacation. The beach is supervised during the summer months, so your little ones can enjoy themselves in complete safety.

2 A panoramic hike overlooking Lac de Serre-Ponçon

The next day, it's time to take to the skies to admire the colossal Serre Ponçon lake and dam! The Crête de la Scie reveals an aerial panorama of the mountains, the lake below and the Durance valley.

Family kayaking on the Durance


After the Serre-Ponçon dam, the Durance returns to its natural course, winding its way through the wild forest of Cassettes, a Natura 2000 area.
Kayak itineraries immerse you in nature, under the cool canopy.
Accessible from age 7 (for children who can swim), this whitewater descent, punctuated by small rapids, is an ideal family adventure. It's the perfect way to get away from it all, all the way to Tallard, to the rhythm of the river!

Museoscope and Museum of Water and Energy

Did you know that 1,500 people were displaced to build the Serre-Ponçon dam?

Dive into the fascinating history of Europe's largest earth dam. The Muséoscope du Lac, in Rousset, offers an immersive scenography combining archives, personal accounts, sound and light to bring to life the creation of this gigantic water reservoir. Surprising anecdotes, 3D animations and animated models. Opposite, the Maison de l'Eau et des Energies invites you to explore the science of hydroelectricity. A great option for hot summer days.
