In the spirit of prevention and solidarity, the Korian Le Mont Soleil care home in Espinasses is organising several events as part of Pink October. These include a ‘Pink Weekend’ at the care home, a screening day, a pink walk, a pink run and a raffle.
On Thursday 15 October, a ‘Pink Day’ is planned at the care home, where everyone is invited to wear something pink.
On Thursday 22 October, a screening day will take place from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, with breast examinations carried out by the coordinating doctor; please book by telephone on 04 92 66 67 00.
The ‘Pink Weekend’, on 24 and 25 October, will include a ‘Pink Walk’ (a loop between the care home and the village) at 3.00 pm on Saturday 24 October, and a 6 km ‘Pink Run’ suitable for families and open to everyone. Both events are scheduled to finish at 4.30 pm at the care home, followed by refreshments for everyone. On Sunday 25 October, activities will be organised for residents within the care home. A raffle is also being organised with plenty of prizes to be won; tickets cost €2. Raffle tickets are available at the EHPAD reception and at the cheese shop in La Bréole.
All proceeds will be donated to the fight against cancer.
