The farm-production: Angora goat breeding in AB, vegetable dyes made on the farm on a part of the production (non certified Mohair)
Products of the farm: mohair to knit, socks, gloves, hats, scarves, jumpers, ponchos, plaids.
Mohair is a noble fibre obtained from the angora goat. My angora goats graze for more than 9 months a year in the pastures and hills of the Hautes-Alpes, in Bréziers, and are raised according to the specifications of organic farming. In winter, they consume hay produced on the farm
They are shorn twice a year. Once sorted, part of the fleece is processed by "Le Mohair des fermes de France" which gathers the mohair of most of the Angora goat breeders in France. Another part of my production is spun by a local spinning mill, which I dye by hand, on the farm with dyeing plants.
By choosing the products I present here, you support the production of French textile fibres and peasant agriculture. You thus give a sense to your consumption and I thank you for it.
