Vercors Horse Regional Competition in Barraquand

Presentation

The Vercors horse is an endangered breed. A handful of passionate breeders are fighting to keep the breed alive. Come and discover this breed of small mountain horses.

The Barraquand Vercors horse is an endangered breed numbering around 300 individuals.

This breed almost disappeared and was recognised in 2017 thanks to the work of the association. It was originally found in the Vercors, with overwintering in the Crau.
These small, hardy horses are versatile: equestrian tourism, carriage driving, farm work.
