Hike: ‘The Love of Risk’ / ‘The Maidens with Theus’s Wreaths’

To mark National Resilience Day, the Serre-Ponçon Val d’Avance Community of Communes, in partnership with guide Simon Cambrézy (Autre Versant), invites you to join a themed walk exploring natural hazards in the mountains. Along the trail, he will guide you with enthusiasm and insight, helping you to interpret the landscape and gain a better understanding of the forces that shape it: geology, hydrology, human development… You’ll learn to interpret the mountain, trace its history and discover how people have adapted to it, in an environment that can sometimes be unpredictable. A day’s hike amongst the ‘Demoiselles Coiffées’.

Picnic break. Booking essential (practical information provided upon booking)

Elevation gain: 456 m / Distance: 6 km / Circular route

Difficulty: intermediate

Equipment to bring:

- Walking boots or trainers

- Rucksack

- Picnic + cereal bar or snack

- Water (1L to 1.5L per person)

- Sunglasses

- Sun cream
- Hat or cap

- A pair of walking poles is recommended

- Personal medication (diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc.)

Conditions:

- Children aged 10 and over.
