Presentation

Situated at an altitude of 644 metres, between the Durance on the left bank and the turbulent waters of the Clapouse and Blanche torrents, the village takes its name from the colour of the rocks. Market gardens, vineyards and orchards stretch along the banks of the Durance.

Now that the waters of the Durance have been tamed, visitors can enjoy the famous “Les 3 Lacs” leisure centre in Rochebrune free of charge. Les 3 Lacs comprises four separate lakes; you can choose between a shallow lake, ideal for children, or a deeper lake for a full swim. A wide range of water sports and leisure activities are on offer throughout the summer: wakeboarding, swimming, go-karting, paintball, tree-top adventure courses…

The “Les 3 Lacs” site owes its fame to the only water ski lift in the Southern Alps!
