Situated on the RN94, 20 minutes from Gap and 10 minutes from the Serre-Ponçon lake, Montgardin is a commune steeped in history which benefits from a privileged location. The historic centre of Montgardin is perched on a hill at 970 metres.

It is easily recognisable from afar thanks to the Church of Saint-Pelade, which overlooks the valley: a magnet for visitors.
Several accommodation providers are delighted to welcome passing tourists.
A little further on, from the church’s viewing point, you can take in the panoramic view of the Avance plain and the Piolit-Chabrières mountain range, which rises to 2,464 m.
This magnificent panorama offers a view of the Dévezet torrent and the Saruchet housing estate, situated on the other side of the A-road.
