Presentation

Situated on the RN94, 20 minutes from Gap and 10 minutes from the Serre-Ponçon lake, Montgardin is a commune steeped in history which benefits from a privileged location. The historic centre of Montgardin is perched on a hill at 970 metres.

It is easily recognisable from afar, with the church of Saint-Pelade dominating the valley: a call to visitors.
A little further on, from the church's belvedere, you can see the panorama of the Avance plain and the Piolit-Chabrières mountain range, which rises to 2,464 m. This magnificent panorama allows you to discover the torrent of Dévezet and the Saruchet housing estate, located on the other side of the national road.
