Concert "Caluna, chanson d'exil" by Julia Mathervet. As part of the Chaillol 2025 Festival. Julia Mathervet explores her Sicilian roots in a moving tour of song, carried by nostalgia and memory, surrounded by musicians who sublimate this quest.
In a superb tour de chant that is also a quest for her origins, Julie Mathevet embraces the traditional Sicilian repertoire as if she were hugging a loved one. Marked by the absent memory of the island with its familiar refrains, she sings, with modesty and accuracy, the nostalgia of a founding family epic surrounded by musicians who accompany this moving journey down memory lane.
