Presentation
Rousset is located at the foot of the Serre-Ponçon lake dam.
The RD900b links Rousset-Serre-Ponçon to Chorges via the Col Lebraut. The commune is divided into two distinct parts: the village, above the level of the dam, where you'll find the church, the Château de Rousset and also the Muséoscope du Lac, and the lake's famous belvedere!
The second part of Rousset-Serre-Ponçon is located below the level of the dam: here you'll find the Les Celliers district, the APILAND museum, the Maison de l'eau et des énergies (water and energy centre) and the Tourist Office.
Swimming is unique, as the Bois-Vieux water sports centre is home to the lake's only floating pool! The waters of the beach have been awarded the Blue Flag since 2015.
There are also plenty of water sports activities on offer, including stand-up paddle, water skiing and buoyancy.) It's also an ideal place for hiking and mountain biking, with numerous trails.
A footbridge was inaugurated in spring 2016, providing a link on foot to the commune of Espinasses over the Trente Pas torrent.
