The two musicians met in the bohemian setting of a poorly soundproofed Paris apartment block. The first, a cellist, composer and arranger, has long been involved in world music and jazz. From his landing, he could hear the high notes escaping from the second musician's flat, who had just moved in. Once the introductions have been made in the stairwell, it's time for a musical encounter, in the home of one or the other, around Brazilian themes, jazz standards or melodies from the great repertoire. Hémisphères is the fruit of these musical and friendly conversations, which bear witness to a clear community of spirit. The joyful exploration of musical references, the pleasure of improvisation, and the taste for chamber music shape a musical imagination and an original repertoire, the story of a simple and delightful musical bond.
